#4 Cowaramup
Project Overview
Tucked away on a private vineyard in Cowaramup, this project was envisioned as a long-term retreat for clients entering a new chapter of life. Designed by Aaron from Resigned Studios, the brief was to create a substantial yet grounded holiday home that supports retirement living, family gatherings, and relaxed entertaining. The home was carefully shaped to respond to the natural contours of the site, gently settling into the landscape and taking in expansive views across the surrounding estate.
SWBC was engaged early through an early contractor involvement structure, allowing the design to evolve with strong technical input, cost clarity, and buildability at the forefront. This early collaboration helped ensure the scale, materials, and construction methodology were well resolved before progressing into construction.

Our Role
SWBC was engaged early to work closely with the clients alongside the design team, providing technical advice, refining scope, and coordinating with the engineer to inform structural systems, materials, and cost planning. Challenging site conditions, including extensive rock breaking, required careful consideration and coordination from the outset. Through early collaboration and practical build expertise, we supported a smooth transition to construction-ready documentation, ensuring the home was delivered with confidence, clarity, and a strong connection to its setting.
